Five Ways to Increase the Productivity of Your Mind
Early bird gets the worm – That being said – you also need to hit the hay early as nothing makes it more difficult to concentrate than sleep deprivation. Two more things; don’t sleep more than 8 hours and sleeping in after a late evening won’t make things better in fact that will most likely only leave you feeling lethargic and groggy.
Exercise – If you weren’t aware of the benefits to the brain from exercise – you soon will be. Exercising leads to increased mental capacity because it calms the mind when you’re exercising and it leads to an increase of energy afterwards which leaves you feeling invigorated and with an improved sense of concentration.
Read books that are challenging – If you really want to increase your capacity to think you might want to read books that challenge you to focus. It’s just a matter of time before your mind will accept the challenge and then you’re off to the races with your mind being the primary benefactor.
Reduce watching TV – Why? TV doesn’t use your mental capabilities or allow your mind to refresh itself. TV just drains your brain and to vegetate serves you no benefit. A healthy option is to listen to music or read a book as both stimulate the mind into a creative state which provides the additional benefit of real relaxation. Â
Take a little chill time for yourself – Take a moment to shut down from all the chaos and just sit there and reflect upon your day and all the positive that has happened,(if there was any negative you have already given that enough focus already – that I can almost guarantee.) In addition, give yourself a few minutes to meditate as this will also slow down the monkey mind and recharge your mental batteries so you can remain calm during the next chaotic moment which is always lurking in wait just around the corner.
